Over the past couple of years, I’ve been asked more than once:

“Are you still a REALTOR®?”

It’s a fair question.

From the outside, seasons can look quiet. Slower. Different.

But what people don’t always see are the seasons happening behind the scenes.

After 2020, Michelle and I stepped into one of those seasons. Family had to come first. We helped care for Michelle’s dad, her uncle, her aunt, and my mother. It was exhausting. Emotional. Sacred.

After losing all four precious members of our family, we were reminded in a way that changes you — life is short, and time is priceless.

During that season, I continued serving clients and keeping our investing business moving while Michelle focused fully on family. But internally, something deeper was happening.

We weren’t slowing down. We were being shaped.

When that chapter came to a close, we didn’t simply pick up where we left off — we reset. We took time to reflect, refine, and realign.

Because of that season, we’ve come out clearer and more intentional.

Our investing business has evolved as well. We introduced a new logo, launched a new website, and made strategic pivots that position us to serve homeowners and partners more effectively. The heart hasn’t changed — we still help people navigate real estate situations with clarity, creativity, and practical solutions.

Personally, this season also shifted how we live.

We’ve been traveling again. The cruise shoes have been getting plenty of miles — and they’re packed again today. If all goes according to plan, we have two more cruises scheduled this year and three additional trips that don’t involve a ship.

I work remotely more than ever now, using negotiation skills, experience, and technology instead of hammers and saws. The tools have changed. The purpose hasn’t.

Another thing you may not have seen?

A creative side of me began to emerge — the artistic streak I likely inherited from my dad.

My book is nearly ready to release.
I’ve been experimenting with sculpting.
Writing poetry.
And I may even team up with my good buddy Robby to try writing music, just to see where it leads.

Sometimes the seasons that feel heavy are the ones that uncover parts of you that were waiting patiently beneath the surface.

And yes — Survivor.

The thought of competing in a game that only 751 contestants have ever played continues to push me physically and mentally. It motivates me to stay disciplined, get stronger, and sharpen my focus. Michelle jokes that if I ever make it on, it will be a two-month vacation for her.

She may not be wrong.

But here’s what I want you to know clearly:

I’m still here.
I’m taking new clients.
If you’re buying, selling, leasing, or investing — I’m ready.
If you’re facing a unique real estate situation and need options, let’s talk.

And beyond business?

I’m always open to coffee, breaking bread, and meaningful connection. The seasons we don’t see coming are often the ones that remind us who matters most.

One more thing happened in the season you didn’t see.

When outcomes weren’t in our control and the days felt long, I found myself turning back to God — not out of routine, but out of need.

Somewhere between hospital rooms, quiet drives home, and moments when you realize you aren’t in charge of much at all, my faith became real again.

I’ve grown closer to God. Closer to Jesus. Not louder — just steadier. More grounded. More grateful.

It has changed how I see time, people, business — and life itself.

Those were the seasons you didn’t see.

And as for the ones yet to come?

I’m stepping into them with clarity, purpose, faith, creativity, and the same commitment to helping people that’s always been there.

If you’d like to reconnect, collaborate, or talk real estate, reach out.
