There’s a song by Cody Johnson called ’Til You Can’t.
It doesn’t shout.
It doesn’t preach.
It just tells the truth.
Life gives you windows.
And one day, quietly, they close.
I Didn’t Always Understand That
When I was younger, I thought time was unlimited.
There would always be another chance.
Another season.
Another tomorrow.
I thought hard work alone would protect me.
I was wrong.
Life doesn’t wait.
It moves.
With you or without you.
Storms Don’t Ask Permission
I’ve stood in dark buildings after storms, trying to serve a community without power.
I’ve walked into moments no one should ever have to see.
I’ve carried responsibility that didn’t clock out at 5:00.
I’ve gone home tired in ways sleep couldn’t fix.
Those moments change you.
They teach you that comfort is temporary.
And character isn’t.
Loss Teaches Faster Than Success
I’ve buried people I loved.
I’ve watched time take things I thought would last forever.
I’ve seen dreams shift.
Plans collapse.
Seasons end.
No warning.
No apology.
Just… gone.
That teaches you something success never can:
Say what matters now.
Do what matters now.
Love while you can.
I’ve Made Mistakes Too
I’ve stayed too long sometimes.
Left too early, others.
Chased things that didn’t matter.
Delayed things that did.
I’ve chosen work over rest.
Duty over ease.
Responsibility over comfort.
Not always perfectly.
But always sincerely.
The Quiet Battles
Not every struggle is public.
Some happen in your head.
Late at night.
Early in the morning.
When no one is around.
Doubts.
Regrets.
Questions.
“What ifs.”
Those are heavy.
But they’re also teachers.
What the Song Reminds Me
That song reminds me:
Call your people.
Forgive faster.
Dream bigger.
Rest more.
Risk wisely.
Love deeply.
Speak honestly.
Because “later” isn’t promised.
My Life Has Been Built on “Now”
Looking back, I see a pattern.
Every good chapter started when I stopped waiting.
I didn’t wait to lead.
I didn’t wait to grow.
I didn’t wait to serve.
I didn’t wait to change.
I stepped forward.
Scared.
Uncertain.
But willing.
Why I’m Still Chasing New Dreams
People ask why I’m still chasing things like Survivor.
Why I still set goals.
Why I still push.
Because I don’t want to wake up one day and realize I waited too long.
I’d rather try and fail…
Than wonder.
Faith in the Middle of It All
Through every season, faith has carried me.
Not because life was easy.
Because it wasn’t.
Faith reminded me:
You’re here for a reason.
Use the time.
Do the work.
Love the people.
Trust God.
Keep moving.
To Anyone Reading This
If you’ve been putting something off…
A conversation.
A dream.
An apology.
A step of faith.
A new start.
Don’t.
Do it.
While you can.
Final Thought
I’m grateful for every scar.
Every lesson.
Every hard season.
Every second chance.
They’ve taught me this:
Life isn’t about waiting.
It’s about living.
Fully.
Faithfully.
Bravely.
’Til you can’t.
